Who uses chOpaal?
Active users of chOpaal include societies like AIESEC, IEEE and RadioLUMS, sports teams like rugby, bball and girlsbball, and courses like CS295 and CS381. chOpaal has become a medium for exchange for the latest breakingnews, exchanging jokes and poetry, discussion of IPL and cricket, and alerts for Namaz and seminars. ManU and Arsenal supporters often fight over football matches. Groups of friends like sash, boyz and 108 have their own private talks. And most importantly, mufta makes sure you never miss out!

What is a tag?
A tag is a group of people on chOpaal. You can make tags to discuss interests and hobbies, inform and update others, or share news and gossip. Once you join a tag, you will receive all messages send to that tag. You can also send mesages to the tag.

What is a private tag?
People can only join the tag with your permission.

What is a broadcast tag?
Only you and other people you allow can send messages to the tag.

How do I send a message?
There are two ways to send a message to a tag.

⊕ Tag the message with any number of tags, anywhere in the message.
Example: free redbull at the football match at LUMS
  The message will go to all the tags: redbull, football and LUMS
 
⊕ Tag the message with just ONE tag
.tagname your message
  The message will only go to the tag you put at the start after the dot

* You need to be a member of the tag to send messages to it.
* Only the owner can send messages to 'broadcast' tags, unless he has allowed other people.

Can a tag have multiple owners?
Yes. On the Members page of the private tag, edit the person's settings and click 'Mark as Administrator'.

How do I invite my friends to chOpaal?
It's simple! Just send: invite number
* Number has to be like 03217654321

Why do I receive chOpaal messages from different numbers?
That's because we use multiple numbers. You can send messages to any chOpaal number. For a list of the numbers we currently use, go here.
